LAETARE SUNDAY
Also known as Mothering Sunday, it is a day of relaxation from normal Lenten rigours; a day of hope with Easter at last within sight. Traditionally servants had the day off to return to their families and their 'mother church'. This is indicated by the colour 'rose' during the penitential season of Lent.
There will be incense at the 10am service.
